Blogging With The Frog

Hello Everyone. I hope that you all had another fun evening. I am going to get right down to business today because I want you to have time to check out our new feature.

Last night I decided to add a feature to the website that I am hoping each one of you will not only enjoy, but will use daily. It is called The Blog Frog. You can access our community page by clicking directly on the image below.

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted to add this option for several reasons. One, because I am a control freak. Two, because I want to keep the site clean, appropriate, & Christian like. There are other benefits that could really help each of you in your journeys that caused me to reconsider.

1. You can meet & talk to other followers that visit our blog.
2. You can find an accountability partner if you don't have one.
3. You can start discussions about anything that relates to the blog, or anything else. (please keep it clean)
4. You can post your own blog & drive traffic to it.
5. You can find other blogs that interest you.
6. You can vent about the challenges. (no Aimee bashing - LOL)
7. You can get answers to your questions a lot quicker than having to wait on me to email all of the time.

I am sure that there are many other features but nothing else is coming to mind right now. This feature allows our blog to be interactive & will offer the super huge "small group" feel that I was hoping for. It is very similar to other forums on other sites that you may participate in. I love the idea of it & I hope that you all will too. If things get out of hand & people are posting inappropriate comments, profanity, etc., I can remove them or delete the whole website if we need to. I will not let any negativity get in the way of your progress.

To get us all going, I started three topics already. All you need to do now is jump on in the discussions.

1. Welcome
2. 5-5-5 Encouragement
3. Need an Accountability Partner?

I love comments so please let me know what you all think of this new & fun feature. Once I get caught up on emails, I will be jumping in the discussions as well. Oh, I forgot to mention something. If you look to the left of the blog you will see the long, black, Blog Frog box. Each time that you comment on a topic through the community page on Blog Frog your photo & link information to YOUR blog will show in up in the Forum Activity section. Plus, every single time that you visit the blog your photo & link information will show up in the Recent Visitors area. This is a great way for each of us to learn about your blog so that we can come & visit you!

I also wanted to mention, thanks to a loyal follower, that Cracking The Communication Code by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs is on sale! It is only $5.38, down from $22.99. (This book is on my recommended reading list.) Just click on the photo.

Day Six -

"...whatever ye do, do all to the glory of God." (Cor. 10:31b)

Do you recognize & appreciate your husband's creativity? Or do you criticize & demean his efforts? Instead of negativity, determine to be positive. Perhaps you can help your husband see that his efforts are an opportunity to glorify God.

Is your husband the "creative" type? Does he have artistic gifts? What is that special "knack" that he has? Affirm him for his handiwork - a hobby, music, gardening, tinkering with cars, working with wood, etc. Remember: Even if he doesn't measure up to your standards, praise his efforts. If your budget allows, buy him a book or magazine that will continue to encourage his special skill or talent.

If you have a hard time finding his "creative side," understand that men's creativity sometimes is related to their work. Find something he does to make his job run more smoothly or something that he does that adds value to his work....& let him know that you have noticed.

Make his day....Praise his accomplishments in public, while he is listening.

Day Six Prayer - Pray that your husband will love righteousness & hate wickedness, especially the evils of the culture. Pray that he will recognize & avoid wickedness in his own life, & if necessary, take a clear, strong stand against evil. (Prov. 27:12; John 17:15; 1 Cor. 10:12-13)

I just have to say that I love this blog!

My boyfriend and I are currently living together (not married yet)and I've gained alot of insight as to how his mind works and how relationships work in general in the past week or so (since I discovered your blog).

Thanks for all that you do!

Oh and it's nice that you guys have a blended family also...sometimes it's hard to relate with those that don't.
